Fern Polygodiaceas matteuccia struthioptorsis (Ostrich Fern)

One of the biggest ferns with similar varieties native in our own forests, along streams and meadows. The name comes from the ostrich shaped plumes that turn bronze and then white in the fall. Spreads by underground runners in moist soils. Combine with other ferns, aconitum, aruncus, hosta and candelabra primula.
